The TV series Stranger Things has captivated the hearts of fans, thanks to its story of Hawkins Lab. It is the aftermath of October 1980, just a few months after Will Byers disappeared, and now he is plagued by visions of the Upside down featuring a much more threatening creature. That drives the young boy to visit an old friend, with the hope that his visions are caused by suffering from post traumatic stress disorder.
Meanwhile, Nancy Wheeler is dealing with survivor’s guilt over the deaths of her best friend and her teenage son, while her husband, Jacob (Brian d’Arcy James), has developed feelings for the only woman in his life, Jane (Noah Schnapp). Meanwhile, a mysterious, malevolent entity threatens the Hawkins population who survived the last year’s events, with new to the town is sweet, attractive teen Max.
It is up to Nancy and Lucas to uncover the truth about where the “monster” came from before it destroys both lives. And, if the television show is any indication, this entity appears to have some connection to Will. With many episodes dedicated to these mysteries, the show ends with a shocking twist. Will discovers he has been saved from death once again, which means he is able to use the time he needs to save his friends from danger.
The TV show is based on the best-selling book by the same name by Theodor Seuss Geisel. He wrote the story with Dustin Henderson in mind as the show is set in Hawkins, Indiana.
The first season saw Dustin go through a lot of changes, but they did not take him from the character of Will, to that of Nancy, until the second season, which was full of more twists and turns. The second season also introduced Lucas, the first gay character to be featured on the show.
In the show, Lucas is played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster, a teen who is being bullied by the more popular, smarter and more outgoing Dustin. He goes away from home to stay with Dustin’s grandmother, where he learns from a very wise old lady named Wendy that he can create his own reality with his mind. A series of strange events then take place, bringing Lucas back to Hawkins.
In the TV show, Lucas is reunited with his mother, but he soon discovers that there is something terribly wrong with his reality. He finds out he must use all of his wits and knowledge to survive and find the answer to his father’s death. The Upside-down world is filled with witches, monsters, ghosts, monsters, etc., and he will be asked to make life and death decisions for some of his choices. In short, it is an interesting twist, with Stranger Things a great story to watch.
Another thing that makes the TV show so entertaining is the fact that it is set in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Although many people know about the monster and the strange events that occur in Hawkins, there are many that do not know about it. Many people find the mystery intriguing enough to watch, but some may find it a little bit too complicated for their taste.
The good thing about the show is that there is so much to watch that it never becomes boring. Some of the episodes are simply fantastic, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
So, if you want to enjoy a great adventure with a touch of magic and romance, then this show is just for you. If you want to be a teenager and have your own show set in the middle of the woods, then the show is for you. If you want to experience all of the action that comes along with teen action shows, then this is for you.
So, if you are looking for a good show that is full of twists and turns and adventure, then watch Stranger Things. For me, it is my number one choice as it is a lot of fun.
